Blueberry Vanilla Lemonade

Who doesn’t love cold lemonade on a hot day? This is my twist on a chilled lemonade cocktail; adding blueberries, vanilla syrup, fresh lemon, and sparkling water to regular old lemonade. It’s really REALLY good. The tartness of the lemons work perfectly with the sweetness of the Nielsen-Massey vanilla syrup. See my recipe for this vanilla syrup here! You can use any lemonade you like in this cocktail. I used.. Read More

Homemade Cream Soda

I have mentioned in previous blog posts that Nielsen-Massey vanillas are my absolute go-to in all my baking. I love to bake and always reach for these vanillas because they are so pure, natural, and delicious. This weekend was my first attempt at cocktail making. I made delicious simple syrup using Nielsen-Massey Tahitian vanilla and vanilla beans. Simple syrups are just that, simple! Water, sugar, and vanilla join forces to make.. Read More

Vega One Shake

This weekend we made a slow cooker curry and hauled almost everything out of the spice cupboard. I love all of these colourful spices. They are fragrant, delicious, healthy, and such a beautiful fall palette.

Peanut Butter Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

I wanted to share with you my favorite oatmeal chocolate cookie recipe. I got this recipe from my boyfriend’s mum. She made these one weekend and they did NOT last long. We devoured them. All of them.   I used my favorite Nielsen-Massey vanilla bean paste. It’s the best! You can find it at Williams Sonoma.     I also veganized this recipe with Ener-g Egg replacer instead of the.. 30th Annual Veg Fest: Toronto

Last weekend I attended the 30th Annual Vegetarian Food Festival in Toronto! Though I am not vegetarian, I was for 7 years. Due to some food allergies, I seek out vegan baked goods when I need a sugar fix. This year the festival was at Harbourfront Center. (Toronto Harbourfront Center) I immediately hunted down one of my favorite bakeries, Tori’s Bakeshop. This adorable bakery on Queen Street East is one of my.. Read More

Grilled Cheese

Spending the day organzing the apartment and I felt like a quick, tasty lunch. Can you say grilled cheese? I used quinoa bread and goat milk mozzarella, perfect for melting.
